The master bath is one of the top rooms that most homeowners want to renovate, with the kitchen being the #1 room, of course. It is the space where most of us start and end our days, a place to get away for a short while from the noise, stress and pressures of the day and the world we live in.
However, creating a relaxing retreat is much more than just picking the right calming paint colors. The bathroom should feel also luxurious and organized! This project has all the details that make a perfect stress-free getaway, so let’s look at this relaxing retreat!
This is how the bathroom looked like before the renovation. As you can see the room was dated and dark, and needed update.
For the updated room, we brightened the design with new colors that make the room look fresh, clean, and soothing!
The expansion wasn’t an option. However, to make it more practical, we added this fabulous custom made vanity with two sinks. Notice that there’s plenty of storage now, drawers and cabinets. The pattern on the vanity that mirrors the tile on shower wall, add an interesting detail that hits you as soon as you step inside!
To make it luxurious we added multiple shower heads (to make yours even more luxurious, consider a walk-in shower with a steam option!).
Storage may not seem luxurious, but getting rid of clutter in the bathroom gives you a calm and restful atmosphere. These medicine cabinets with built-in electrical and USB ports for charging devices keep electric razors, toothbrushes out of site, and… leave you with a clutter free Quartz countertop.
Ceiling–mounted overhead light for general illumination (and with the night light), sconces on either sides of mirrors, and light in the shower and tub area, ensure proper lighting in a bathroom. Carefully selected finishes of sconces, mirrors, and faucets, makes it clear that this bathroom is high-style.
A bathroom like this one will not only wash all your troubles away, but will add value to your home when you decide to sell.
So what do you think about this master bathroom before-and-after? Let me know how you would create a relaxing bathroom retreat!
